Mee Pok @ Tien Pin, SS2

Two weekends ago, I was circling around SS2 finding for something simple yet tasty. I came across Tien Pin Restaurant, seeing quite a number of people in there, I gave it a try.

Tien Pin is located at the other side of SS2, as I am more familiar with the McD side, where Murni, KTZ etc are located. Tien Pin is one of the branches of Tang House of Fishball, with a few noodle houses specialising in fishballs and fishcakes.

Mee pok is actually a Teochew dish, the noodles are served in dry style, with minced meat and lard. Don't be deceived by its look which seems to be lack of flavour, this noodle has the oomph factor :P . The mee pok is really tasty, just the right taste with springy noodles. :) Give it a try.

The homemade fish noodle is fresh and springy. I prefer the mee pok though. :) And, thumbs up for the fish cake, I even order extra ala carte fish cake (the dry style noodles come with a side dish, a bowl of fish cake and soup).

Tien Pin also has a variety of tong shui - the homely type - barley fu chuk, black glutinous rice, I tried the green bean.  It's good :). There is another recommended dish which I have yet to try, the Yu Wat (fish paste) with bittergourd soup. If you happened to drop by, give these dishes a try. :)

Address :
Restoran Tien Pin
19, Jalan SS2/30, Petaling Jaya.

There's another restaurant at the front row SS2/24 so it's back to back.

They have another restaurant in Sea Park, PJ namely House of Fishball -serving noodle, fish cakes, fish balls and fish paste :)
12 & 14, Jalan 21/19, Sea Park, Petaling Jaya.
