The Yogi Tree at The Gardens, Midvalley

Yogi Tree- This is not a new restaurant, but it is somewhere I'll head to usually if I feel like eating healthy. Yogi Tree actually has a set of food philosophy. One of the very good one I've seen is " Healthy Fat?? ". Yes, according to them fats can be healthy (if eaten in moderation of course). Fats are essential for vital nerve functions and allow easier absorbtions of key nutrients like vitamin A,D,B and K.
So all of you who are on diet, please remember this, any dish can be healthy if cooked in the correct way. You do not need to entirely miss out on food like cakes and chocolates.. yum!

Oh ya, by the way Yogi Tree also strives to promote well-being, so the ingredients used here are fresh and natural.

Back to the food, I wanted something light so here's my lunch - Egg Toast.

Two organic eggs scrambled (or you can opt to have poached or fried) on toast served with mushroom (or baked beans) (RM12)

My egg toast tasted normal, however the mushrooms are very flavourful.
Yogi Tree serves breakfast menu till 6pm everyday, so you can even have breakfast during lunch time (for the late risers like myself).

mum's Pesto with Portobello mushroom (RM22)

The pasta tasted good, lightly flavoured with herbs and pine nuts (these combination creates the pesto sauce ^^). Mum likes it.

healthy juices

The layered drink is Very berry - combination of strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, cranberry and carrot. Loaded with lots of vit C and carotenoids which creates antioxidants for you body.

The second one is Peak performer - combination of grapes, pear, apple and pineapple.

Average main there is about RM20++. Juices are at RM12 each. They do serve local cuisines on top of the western dishes. Overall, a healthy and satisfying lunch!
